1. Costs Assessment Sheet

1.1 Deposits
a) Logo Design Initial Deposit – $200.00

  • All correspondence between VCS and our clients, aim to produce the best results when designing and collaborating to achieve the intended outcome and satisfy our customer's expectations.

  • Logo Design Costs are Explained Further in Section 1.5

  • No tasks will be undertaken until the deposit is paid.
b) Website Design Deposit – $500.00

  • Designing a website that reflects your business and is portrayed how you imagined is of our highest priority. At VCS we take our time with our customers to meet the level of your expectations, whilst ensuring that you understand the costs associated with your website design.

  • Website Design Costs are Explained Further in Section 1.##

  • No tasks will be undertaken until the deposit is paid.
c) Web Development Deposit – $500.00

Including but not limited to:

  • Any correspondence in consultation with VCS, such as phone calls, e-mails, SMS, Skype or any other forms of communication that may take place throughout the web development period – Including any installation of folders, files or databases onto the server.

  • Any editing, insertion of images or written content for your website. This includes – any editing of images (naming and resizing), design ideas and correspondence between the website developer and our client.

  • The deposit will also cover the costs associated with the purchase and set-up of your domain name registration and hosting package and/or to gain access to your existing hosting package. Any registrations or hosting documentation is owned by the client. – Please note: VCS strongly recommends the purchase of hosting through our affiliate host – ‘Typical Hosting Australia’, due to the reliability of the company, faster website loading times for our clients, and to support local Australian businesses.

  • Website building costs are listed in Section 1.4 in this document.

  • No tasks will be undertaken until the deposit is paid.
1.2 Terms and Conditions of Payments

Invoices will be issued weekly: payment is ‘Due Within 5 Business days'.

We will need to receive evidence of the payment within 5 business days – All issued invoices are in Australian Dollars. GST is not applicable.


1.3 Website Building Costs

This is an estimated guide only: $250.00 per page/fold & $50.00 per Mobile Resolution

Definition of page:
Any available link, such as; Home page, About, Services, Testimonials, Contact Us, etc.

Definition of fold:
On a website that doesn’t have navigation links and is a ‘one-page website’ – there will be sections that start a new content section as you scroll down ‘fold by fold’, to find the information

Definition of Mobile Resolution:
On a website that is not mobile friendly and was created by VCS Web Design, The cost is to make the page/fold mobile friendly

Not included:
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is not included within the cost of the website build; this is charged separately as an hourly rate due to it being a complex and separate requirement;

Listing your website with google – also referred to as ‘Indexing’- is not included in website building costs; this is charged separately at an hourly rate.


1.4 Website Design Costs

Prices may vary on how the website is designed. For example:

Pending on how the design process proceeds – you may wish to create a mock-up design of your website idea and have colour scheme suggestions which would then be re-created by the designer at a higher definition quality through photoshop or other software. Other clients may not have an idea for design – which our developers can assist with design ideas through consultation as to what suits your business.

Overall costs will be determined by how many edits are required.


1.5 Building/Updating Initial or Existing Website – Hourly Rate $100.00

Including but not limited to:

Any communications regarding website requirements, design elements, content building or other;

Verbal/ Written/ Phone call/ Remote Desktop access –
to provide instructions to assist you with a step-by-step on how to manage your website, hosting or other;

Liaising with your hosting provider or your 3rd part email delivery service - including wait times to investigate issues;

Contacting your payment gateway OR any 3rd party service/s, via phone or e-mail - including wait times to investigate issues; and any investigations when errors have occurred whilst you were editing your website/s.


1.6 Logo Design Costs – From $200.00 up to $1,000.00

Prices may vary on how the logo is developed. For example:

Pending on how the design process proceeds – you may wish to create a mock-up design of your logo idea and have colour scheme suggestions which would then be re-created by the developer at a higher definition quality through photoshop or other software. Other clients may not have an idea for design – which our developers can assist with design ideas through consultation as to what suits your business.

Overall costs will be determined by how many edits are required.


1.7 Accepted Forms of Payments

2. Content, Copy, Edits and Errors

Please note that any supplied copies from clients will NOT be proofread prior to being added to your website, unless otherwise instructed by our client to do so.

All content that VCS contributes will be proofread and if any errors are found within a 5 day period they will be amended free of charge.


3. Ongoing Support – After Initial Website Building or Existing Websites

3.1 Definition

Ongoing technical support is a service provided by a hardware or software company, which provides clients with help and advice about their products and services. Support is offered to individuals having technical problems with electronic devices, software and websites. Support is offered after initial business communications where previous work has already been completed.

VCS Web Design will assist the consumer with any issues that may arise in the future and help troubleshoot any errors or troubles the consumer may have.

VCS Web Design will also assist in future upgrades and changes that the consumer may want on their website/s.

Ongoing Support Costs are Explained Further in Section 3.3


3.2 Role of Ongoing Support

Individuals that are familiar with the ins and outs of a device, software and websites deliver ongoing technical support. With this knowledge, they are able to troubleshoot most problems that a user experiences. This support can be delivered via phone, in person or email.

3.3 Cost of Ongoing Support

Phone calls or Support Tickets for requests requiring action within 24-72 hours of receipt will incur a $100.00 charge if all tasks are completed within 1 hour.

If your request is urgent and you require action with 24 hours of receipt will incur a $130.00 charge for the first hour.

If tasks take more than 1 hour, an extra cost of $100.00 per hour would be paid in 30-minute intervals.

Any requests outside normal business hours including public holidays will incur additional fees.

Public Holidays hourly rate $130.00, charged in 1-hour increments.
After Hours hourly rate $130.00, charged in 30-minute increments.

Please Note: Additional fees for Public Holidays or After hours request are applied when the client stipulates that the request needs to be completed as soon as possible. If the client's request is stipulated to have the work done during normal business hours additional fees will not be charged.

Please state in emails the timeframe for tasks to be actioned.

SMS will NOT be considered a supported communication for any issues.


4. Indemnity

All consumers agree to indemnify the business against all disputes, claims, acts, liabilities, expenses

Any 3rd party software/plugin updates that may cause breakages on website/s.
Any purchased and non-purchased theme updates that may cause breakages on website/s.
Google SEO requirement changes.
Not acting upon the information sent to clients by developer.
Clients’ personal property supplied to the developer.
